• Is it possible to visit without a guide?

It's only possible to visit the cave while accompanied by a guide

• What is the minimum age allowed to visit?

The entry of children under 7 years old is forbidden.

The minimum age for the long visit is 10 years old.

• Is it mandatory to book?
Short tour: we recommend, as there is a limit of people per hour

Long tour: yes, since it's not available every day

• Which languages do you offer the tours in?

Portuguese and English

• Which discounts do you have?

For seniors (65+), students and Azores residents

• What's the difference between the short and the long tour?

The short tour (difficulty level: easy) is directed to the general public, where you walk inside the cave 200 meters

The long tour (difficulty level: medium) is directed to people which are interested in speleology, where you walk inside the cave 1000 meters.

• What's the cave's accessibility like?

The cave isn't accessible to people with reduced mobility, since the access is via a staircase and the floor of the cavity is quite irregular.

• Is it allowed to take photos?

Yes, it is, with or without flash.
